‘Dancing with the Stars’ pros Sasha Farber, and Emma Slater are married

Another set of Dancing With The Stars couple has tied the knot.

Professionals Sasha Farber and Emma Slater said ‘I do’ at the Bella Blanca in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 25. Guests included fellow DWTS pros Cheryl Burke, Julianne Houghe and husband Brooks Laich and former contestants Vanessa and Nick Lachey, and Drew Scott.

Wedding planner Michael Russo gushed about the ceremony to Us Weekly. According to his company’s website, he also coordinated the wedding of previous DWTS partners  Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec.

“As Emma walked down the aisle, instantly locking eyes with Sasha, it was as if time stood still,” Russo said. “Their moving vows had moments of both humor and heartfelt emotion, which made the ceremony a truly special and magical thing to behold. I couldn’t be more proud to have been a witness to this celebration of pure, unconditional love.”

Slater changed into two wedding dresses both by designer Rivini, and Farber wore a handmade, white tuxedo by Onik design. The couple’s first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. Sheeran couldn’t attend the wedding to perform, but recorded a heartfelt message that played during the during their dance.

Faber, 33, and Slater, 29, got engaged live on the ABC ballroom-dancing competition show back in October 2016. They had been dating on-and-off since 2011.

Ashley Graham refutes Vogue cover rumors

Model, Ashley Graham, is refuting rumors that Vogue tried to hide her size on a cover.

Graham, who came to prominence as a plus sized model, has become a talisman for a movement in the fashion industry to portray more women of average or above average size as beautiful or fashionable as well. Graham was cast on her first ever cover of Vogue alongside other fashion icons such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner as well as four other women. Graham is the only “plus-sized” woman on the cover, where the seven women are close together with arms around the waists of their compatriots. Fans of Graham began to question why she was the only of the models to be covering her skin. Graham holds a hand on her thigh on the cover. Many began to question whether Vogue might have asked her to do so in order to cover the size of her leg.

“I still don’t get why they made you cover your leg!! And you are the only one posing like that,” pondered one fan.

“I chose to pose like one told me to do anything,” responded Graham.

Other fans also questioned whether or not the left arm of Hadid had been elongated in order to cover the stomach of Graham.

“You look amazing but I am still disappointed in Vogue … Gigi’s hand does not look normal to me … think they may have photoshopped you … god knows why!” wrote another fan.

Body-activist model Ashley Graham says a talk show “is in the works”

In a recent interview, supermodel Ashley Graham revealed that the creation of her own talk show just may be “in the works.” Her recent friendship with Gayle King helped spark this idea.

“You know what the Ashley Graham Show is coming! I’ve already had a couple of amazing offers, so it’s in the works,” Graham told E News, “Gayle King has turned into a great friend and she said, ‘You know Oprah, she had a show, you wanna fill up her shoes?’ And I said, ‘Yes, Gayle! I wanna fill up Oprah’s shoes!'”

A talk show would be a new endeavor for the body-positivity activist, but Graham is no stranger to making “bold” career moves, she said during her interview. This year she was named a new Global Ambassador for Revlon with a modeling contract that’s changing history. She also just gave a TED Talk on the power of self-acceptance and the problem with the term “plus sized.”

“In my career I’ve had to make bold moves along the way,” she said, “Now looking back on it, saying yes to the TED talk was a really big, bold move for me because I was frightened. It was my very first major public speaking event.”

The biggest and scariest career move the 30-year-old has made was switching modeling agencies in order to find one that could better represent her.

“Moving agencies was a big deal because I was agent-less for about six months and those were the agents who told me, ‘You will never be on the covers and this is just not a place for curvy women in high fashion,”’ Graham explained. “And to go into an agency that had never even handled curvy women was a whole new hurdle.”

Model Lauren Wasser says she’ll ‘inevitably’ lose her left leg to toxic shock syndrome

Lauren Wasser was 24 years-old when she had her right leg amputated after contracting toxic shock syndrome. Now she says a second amputation to her left leg is her “only way to freedom.” The Los Angeles based model’s battle with the life-threatening condition– caused by bacterial toxins– began with a tampon in 2012.

At first, Wasser thought she had flu-like symptoms, but that led to a massive heart attack and gangrene began to consume both of her legs. At the time, doctors wanted to amputate both legs, but she fought to keep her left– losing her right leg below the knee, as well as the toes and heel on her left leg.

“When I see ads for tampons, it’s always a woman running on the beach or swimming in the ocean,” Wasser told People magazine.  “There’s no warning whatsoever that a.) a tampon could a kill you, or b.) you could lose limbs or forever be damaged by using this product. When I see that, I think, “I haven’t been able to do any of those things in five years. So much of my life has been taken because of this.”

In an InStyle op-ed written this past November, the 29-year-old opened up about the toll the disease has put on her life, and revealed that a second amputation for her left leg is vital for her health and comfortability.

“I don’t have toes, and I have to go to wound care every Monday for my heel. I’m in so much pain. It’s a hard decision, but my only way to freedom,” says the former basketball player. “I can’t wait to have two gold blades, to run and feel the wind on my face again.”

In the meantime, Wasser, who’s posed for brands like Nordstrom and Kenneth Cole, is tirelessly working to make sure that what happened to her doesn’t happen to others. She’s advocating for legislation like that of U.S. Rep. Carolyn Mooney that requires feminine hygiene product companies to disclose exactly what is going into these products and what their long-term health effects are.

Adriana Lima reveals how much longer she’ll walk Victoria Secret runways

Brazilian model Adriana Lima was named Victoria Secret’s 2017 Most Valuable Angel, and after 18 years of owning the runway there’s no doubt she’s earned that title.

The 36 year old revealed that she doesn’t planning on retiring soon either. Rumors have swirled that Tuesday’s runway show will be the last for her fellow longtime  Angel Alessandra Ambrosia. But Lima says she has at least two years left on the VS runway.

“I plan to be at 20. Two more years. Maybe more, I don’t know,” the mother of two told People magazine, “It’s nature. I’m working out. I’m being healthy, so let’s see how the body is going to turn out. But I enjoy it. So let’s say 20.”

The runway show which took place at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China showcased the model at her sexiest yet in semi-sheer briefs when she first took to the catwalk with her colorful pair of wings.

Lima is the longest running model for VS and has worn it’s signature fantasy bra three times for the fashion show.

“I feel very emotional to be part of it, in a good way. After so many years and to have a chance to see Victoria’s Secret go and have their fashion show internationally, it’s really an honor for me to be part of it,” She said to People, “And every girl who is here deserves to be here. They’ve got what it takes to be an Angel. They have unbelievable personalities.”

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Zendaya creates new clothing line

Last night Zendaya helped celebrate the new holiday windows at Bloomingdale’s 59th flagship window unveiling in New York City.

The 21-year-old actress collaborated with the department store to create a new capsule for Bloomingdale’s house line AQUA.

But when it comes to the notorious tradition of Black Friday shopping, the fashion influencer’s advice is “don’t go.”

“I’m always afraid because it’s the busiest time to go,” she told PeopleStyle at the unveiling, “The best thing for me is wait until the online one comes out, and do everything online.”

Luckily, Zendaya’s five-piece capsule collection can be found online. The collection features three gowns, a glittery crop top, and a dramatic, asymmetrical maxi skirt. The pieces range in price from $95 to $198.

The clothing line is inspired by Zendaya’s upcoming movie The Greatest Showman which releases in U.S. movie theaters Dec. 20th.

“We took the elements and the ideas of the movie and made them make sense for someone who is going to a cocktail party,” she explained to PeopleStyle, “And there’s a lot of glitter and a lot of shine going on, so if you literally pair anything with a simple, pointy toe black pump, then you’re good to go.”

The film also inspired the design of Bloomingdale’s holiday windows, including one called “Rewrite the Stars,” an ode to a song Zendaya sings with Zac Efron in the movie.

Tyra Banks will return to America’s Next Top Model season 24

Tyra Banks is coming back to claim what’s hers– reality series and competition show America’s Next Top Model– and she’s bringing a slew of stars with her.

After a one season hiatus– cycle 23 where performer Rita Ora took on Bank’s position– the superstar top model revealed that she will be back to host ANTM’s 24th cycle.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Banks shared some of the decisions behind the celebrity guest and judge appearances on this new season, and the biggest twist– for the first time in the show’s history, there is no age limit to compete.

RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Katya, Manilla, and Valentina make a stunning appearance at an upcoming photoshoot in the season. Banks told EW that not all her models were able to keep up with the fierce queens.

“Not all of my models prevailed. Valentina killed it. I’m sitting there editing film and I’m like, can I get a shot of my girls looking at least half as good as Valentina?” Banks said.

This season will also have a #ThrowbackThursday inspired episode, bringing judge Nigel Barker and ANTM season three winner Eva Marcille back to the show, as well as  photo challenge inspired by a previous season.

“We threw it to the fans and asked: Out of every single America’s Next Top Model challenge or photo shoot, what’s your favorite? They gave their answers via a poll, and you’re going to see [the results] reenacted, but in a new way. We had to make it new and flip it.”

Co-hosts supermodel Ashley Graham, celebrity style architect Law Roach, and Paper magazine Chief Creative Officer Drew Elliot will all join Banks for the 24th season which premieres Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. on VH1.

Kylie Jenner – ‘insecure’ about body changes and baby bump,

According to a People magazine exclusive, don’t expect to see Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner in the limelight for the next few months.

After her pregnancy was confirmed over two months ago, the social media and reality TV star is taking this time for herself and boyfriend rapper Travis Scott.

“Kylie is only trusting her closest friends and her sisters right now. She wants to reveal things on her own terms but she’s of course having fun teasing everyone.” a source close to the Kylie Cosmetics founder told People, “She knows all the attention is on her and her baby bump, but she won’t share until she wants to.”

TMZ first broke the news confirming Jenner’s pregnancy back in September according to sources close to Scott who told his friends the couple was having a girl.

The news of Kylie Cosmetic owner’s pregnancy may have been unexpected, but sources to People assure that the couple is very excited for the new addition to the Kardashian family.

But the 20-year-old mogul is still experiencing some self consciousness and insecurities about her changing body.

“She’s always been insecure that she’s not as curvy or pretty as her sisters,” a source close to Jenner’s boyfriend told People.

The youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner family isn’t the only one expecting. Kim Kardashian is expecting her third child via surrogate with husband and rapper Kanye West. Multiple sources also confirmed to People that Khloé Kardashian and NBA boyfriend Tristan Thompson have a baby on the way as well.

Rihanna to show at New York Fashion Week

Rihanna will hold a fashion show for her Savage x Fenty lingerie line at New York Fashion Week this year, according to Vogue.

The pop star and fashion designer took last season off from Fashion Week, and her return promises an immersive experience for attendees, though details about what exactly that might look like have not yet been released.

The Fall collection being shown will immediately be available to purchase at and pop up stores in New York, the Mall of America, and two locations yet to be announced.

Details about the exact setup of the show or the collection itself are scarce at the moment. The show is reportedly taking place somewhere in Brooklyn, bringing the typically Manhattan-set Fashion Week out to a new venue. She previously debuted the lingerie line in May with a series of pop up shops and parties at the Villain in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The Savage x Fenty show will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the last day of Fashion Week, unofficially closing out the event after a 6 p.m. Marc Jacobs show. It marks the first time Rihanna will be showing at Fashion Week without affiliation with Puma, with which she has collaborated extensively in the past.

Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty line of affordable lingerie goes up to a 44DDD bra size, prompting widespread praise for being so size inclusive, and also includes various bedroom accessories, including fuzzy handcuffs.

Serena Williams creates Nike collection

Serena Williams and Virgil Abloh, the founder of Off-White, partnered with Nike to create The Queen Collection, E! News reported.

Williams will wear pieces from the collection while playing in the U.S. Open, which begins on August 27 in New York City. The collection includes a one-shoulder tennis dress with a tutu-style skirt, a bag, a jacket, and three styles of sneaker. The sneakers, which include the NikeCourt Flare 2 and limited editions of The Ten: Nike Air Max 97 and The Ten: Nike Blazer Mid SW, are accented with neon sole colors. Prices range from $130 to $900 for the items, which will be available in select Nike stores in late August.

“With Serena, we have one of our generation’s most powerful, inspiring athletes as the muse,” Abloh said. “I was trying to embody her spirit and bring something compelling and fresh to tennis. The dress is feminine, but combines her aggression.”

In addition to her fierce playing style, Williams is known for her twirling skirts and high-fashion sportswear looks. Abloh told Vogue that he and Williams collaborated extensively on the designs for the Nike collection.

“I felt so feminine in the tutu, which is probably my favorite part of it,” Williams said. “It really embodies what I always say: that you can be strong and beautiful at the same time.”

Williams has been a Nike ambassador since 2003. She has won 23 grand slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals, and most recently played in the final match of the 2018 Wimbledon tournament, her first major event since giving birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia earlier this year.
