Top 10 Motivational Quotes To Unlock The Power Of Gratitude

Ambition can be a double-edged sword, since it is both our blessing and curse. We perpetually strive for better, but on our journey, many of us forget to slow down and savor the magic of each living moment. The world is a wondrous place, and humans, as sentient beings, are the only species with the ability to stop in awe and admire the abundance, holding onto each precious moment in our hearts and minds forever.

The minute we open our eyes to the gifts around us and cherish the distance we have all come, is the minute we start to feel the power and beauty that exist within us all.

Here are our top 10 motivational quotes to become more grateful for what you have:

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.
– Marcus Tullius Cicero

I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.
– G.K. Chesterton

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
– Oprah Winfrey

Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses.
– Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr

Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
– Charles Dickens

When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.
– Willie Nelson

We need to learn to want what we have, not to have what we want, in order to get stable and steady happiness.
– Dalai Lama

Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
– Eckhart Tolle

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.
– William Arthur Ward

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.
– John F. Kennedy

Weird Humanoid Figure Found From Chinese Shore

Unsure of what exactly to make of this, a Chinese man is seen holding what appears to be a humanoid form still wet from being in the water. Speculation is, this may be the remains of a used blow up sex doll. It however this isn’t confirmed yet. This otherwise could be evidence of some kind of species that lives within the sea.

A report made by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) estimated as much as 95% of the entire world’s oceans, have still not yet been explored. Who knows what might be lurking deep beneath the surface. The sheer amount of labor, it would take to explore and cover the ocean, is quite unfathomable. It would be time-consuming and extraordinarily expensive to do.

The man is seen laughing…while holding whatever this is up to his friend, recording this from a cell phone. It is weird no doubt and at this point, pretty damn unusual. It appears to have been drifting in the water for quite some time, as it looks quite weathered as well. The exact beach where this thing washed up, isn’t known but it apparently happened recently.

As this man is seen holding this thing, it appears to be wiggling its legs still as he twists and twirls its body around on camera. The head does seem human-like and it also appears to have both arms and legs as well.

The video appeared on the YouTube channel The Hidden Underbelly 2.0. People don’t really know what to make of it yet. It truly is freaky and unlike anything seen yet. Perhaps this is some new species of sea life never seen until now.

A comment made by The Hidden Underbelly said, “In my opinion, this could be a new species of sea life or an mutated starfish but I ‘m going to ask my dear friend Dr. Karl Shuker what he thinks and will pin his comment , Stay Blessed..”

Someone joked, it looks like a soaked giant gingerbread man. It’s body is comparable to that of a sponge. It may even be some kind of bizarre toy, puppet or doll. Whatever it is, people are still scratching their heads over it. Maybe someone out there knows more about it.

New Mom’s Facebook warning: “Kiss Nearly Killed My Baby”

Just over a month ago Claire Henderson gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who she named Brooke. Like most new parents, they had many visitors who wanted to see the new baby. Unfortunately for Claire and Brooke one of the visitors was a herpes carrier. Herpes can only be contracted by mouth to mouth contact. Now Claire is trying to warn as many people as possible about how deadly it is for infants if they get cold sores. Brooke developed cold sores all over her mouth and the back of her throat and is doing good now.

Microsoft: Some Windows 7 will get free security updates

TechCrunch is reporting that a limitedly distributed document may reveal Microsoft’s willingness to extend security patches for users of Windows 7 OS.

“A little-publicized document published by Microsoft says top-tier customers with Windows E5, Microsoft 365 E5 and Government E5 subscriptions will get extended security updates for a year at no additional charge. After the year expires, Microsoft will charge each enterprise device $50 to receive updates for a second year and $100 per device for a third year,” the tech site reports. “Qualifying subscriptions must remain active until the end of the year and throughout the extended security updates period to continue to receive security updates, the document said.”

While the security patches are likely limited to certain users of the OS, it does seem as if Microsoft is concerned with users switching to Windows 10. The company announced that a final cut-off for extended security updates in January 2023 will take place, and recommends users upgrade to Windows 10, or obtain extended security updates as a “last resort.”

NASA TV will air U.S. cargo ship departure

It’s going to be a long trip, says NASA.

The U.S. space agency announced Tuesday that it will air live the next docking of the International Space Station.

Dragon will fire its thrusters to move a safe distance from the station, then execute a deorbit burn around 3:22 p.m. as it heads for a parachute-assisted splashdown around 4:21 p.m. in the Pacific Ocean, some 300 miles southwest of Long Beach, California. The deorbit burn and splashdown will not air on NASA TV.

“These are just a few of the hundreds of investigations aimed at keeping astronauts healthy during space travel and demonstrating technologies for future human and robotic exploration beyond low-Earth orbit, including missions to the Moon by 2024 and on to Mars. Space station research also provides opportunities for other U.S. government agencies, private industry, and academic and research institutions to conduct microgravity research that leads to new technologies, medical treatments, and products that improve life on Earth,” the agency said. “For more than 18 years, humans have lived and worked continuously aboard the International Space Station, advancing scientific knowledge and demonstrating new technologies, making research breakthroughs not possible on Earth that will enable long-duration human and robotic exploration into deep space. A global endeavor, more than 230 people from 18 countries have visited the unique microgravity laboratory that has hosted more than 2,500 research investigations from researchers in 106 countries.”

The journey is expected to present scientists on earth with a large amount of data. According to NASA, some of the scientific investigations Dragon will return to Earth include:

Bio-Mining in Microgravity
The Biorock investigation provides insight into the physical interactions of liquid, rocks and microorganisms in microgravity and improving the efficiency and understanding of mining materials in space. Bio-mining eventually could help explorers on the Moon or Mars get needed materials on site, lessening the need for precious resources from Earth and reducing the amount of supplies explorers must take with them.

Mechanisms of Moss in Microgravity
Space Moss compares mosses grown aboard the space station with those grown on Earth to determine how microgravity affects its growth, development, and other characteristics. Tiny plants without roots, mosses need only a small area for growth, an advantage for their potential use in space and future bases on the Moon or Mars. This investigation also could yield information that aids in engineering other plants to grow better on the Moon and Mars, as well as on Earth.

Improving Tire Manufacturing from Orbit
The Goodyear Tire investigation uses microgravity to push the limits of silica fillers for tire applications. A better understanding of silica morphology and the relationship between silica structure and its properties could provide improvements for increased fuel efficiency, which would reduce transportation costs and help to protect Earth’s environment.

Idaho Couple Forced To Leave Their Home of Snakes

Imagine buying your dream home, only to find out later it was infested with snakes. This is exactly what happened to a Idaho couple from Rexburg. They moved to this location, back in 2009. Not long after, the couple realized they were not alone.

As it turns out, this home was built upon what is known as a snakes hibernaculum. This is where hundreds of snakes gather for the winter. Ben Sessions and his wife Amber, tried to contend with the situation at first. However, not long after..it simply became unbearable. The hissing and slithering of snakes were everywhere, including being behind their very walls.

Ben began to slay snakes at first, trying to get rid of them. On average, he was killing around 42 snakes a day. The couple later decided this was ridiculous and later left their humble abode. Imagine hearing snakes moving along the walls of your very bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It would likely be too much to deal with. Even their water, carried a foul musk smell, that was released by these snakes. (Garter snakes, will secrete a foul-smelling fluid from their anal glands when alarmed)

Ben also continued to clear snakes around the property on a daily basis. It soon became quite a chore for him. Just three months after moving into this home, the couple filed for bankruptcy. These snakes were content on staying here.

It is unknown if the home located at 675 W. 5000 North ever sold again. It is owned by Chase Bank. The bank sent an inspector initially after Ben and Amber left the property. The inspector said, he estimated there being between 400-500 snakes at the property. This same inspector, later returned stating the snake population here is upwards into multiple thousands by now.

To rid this infestation of snakes, the home has been lowered in price. Back then, the house was worth around $175,000. Now, due to the snake infestation it was lowered to $109,200. Most certainly, this home would be a tough sell. The property would have to be entirely cleared first and that would cost a pretty penny for sure. The home may even end up being demolished at some point as uninhabitable. The home was listed for sale back in 2011.

Kids Hear Distress Cries From Underground, Cut Open Pipe To Find Baby Animal Inside

Newborns get themselves into some pretty sticky situations as they start navigating this big new world they find themselves in, and it’s not always easy to get them back on solid footing.

An adorable little lamb found herself in one such conundrum last month, apparently falling and getting trapped in an underground pipe at Zed & Co Free-range Farms in Victoria, southeast Australia:

Two girls head the lamb’s cries and alerted the farm’s owners, Marnie and Nick Zielinski, who immediately launched Operation Save Lamb.
They used a huge shovel to dig around the pipe, then split it with a circular saw to try to pry the edges open.

“I can see it … It’s still alive … It’s black,” the children say in a running commentary during the rescue operation.

Eventually, they end up having to cut away a flap, which allows them to get at the lamb and lift her out to safety.

Whew. Good thing those girls heard those muffled cries for help and were able to rally the troops in time.

After such a traumatic experience, this sweet baby got a good dose of much-needed pampering …
