Lil Kim says she does not need to release Nicki Minaj diss

Rap star, Lil’ Kim, announced that she will not help Remy Ma in her beef with Nicki Minaj.

Lil’ Kim, an iconic female rapper in her own right, has had a long history of tension with more recent female superstar, Nicki Minaj. Their beef began years ago as people began to compare the two and competition sparked light verbal sparring. Nicki Minaj has also recently become embroiled in a beef with fellow rapstress, Remy Ma. Many believed that Lil’ Kim might help Remy Ma with a joint collaboration against Nicki Minaj.

“We all know the situation that’s going on with Remy and ol’ girl. That’s their situation and I have nothing to do with that,” said Lil’ Kim during an interview with Billboard. “They have rumors out there like, ‘Kim is gonna do a diss track with Remy.’ First of all, let me tell you this — number one, y’all giving ol’ girl too much credit. I’m not even thinking about that. I’m not even thinking about ol’ girl. I’m so far past that. That’s never on my mind. Ever. Ol’ girl has never been on my mind for a long a** time at all. So I hate the fact of being in that equation. But the situation with Remy, for them to say that we were coming together to do a diss track? First of all, after hearing “Shether,” that s*** is so hard, Remy don’t need no damn help! Why would I need to come together for that? I mean, I’m into the music, and I’m speaking musically wise — the song is just hard, period!”

Corinne Olympios to receive her own reality show

The Bachelor breakout, Corinne Olympios is likely to receive her own reality show.

Many fans of The Bachelor were counter-intuitively rooting against Olympios, who was a fan favorite for millions of viewers. Reportedly, the reason many fans wanted Olympios to be eliminated was that they wanted to see her on Bachelor in Paradise, which she could not have participated had she won The Bachelor. Olympios was finally sent home last night and Nick Viall, the bachelor who eliminated her, admitted that he wanted to see her on the Bachelor in Paradise show.

“She will be Paradise,” said Nick Viall at the Women Tell All taping. “Corinne, please do Paradise!”

Olympios has different plans, however. She does not necessarily have any interest in joining the Bachelor in Paradise cast.

“I don’t think so. First of all, I wasn’t even asked yet, so let’s not jump the gun yet, so I don’t know. It’s too early to tell right now,” said Olympios of joining Bachelor in Paradise. “I think America is interested in me having a reality TV show with my family, my family is awesome, as you all could tell on my hometown date. America totally wants it, I hear it all the time. There is a lot of talk about, I’m going to say a lot of networks are interested. Obviously, my loyalty is here with ABC and things like that. So there’s still a lot of stuff to be worked out, but we’ll see what comes in the future.”

Emma Stewart talks lack of privacy

Actress, Emma Stewart, talked about her struggle to maintain her privacy.

Stewart, a 26 year old starlet, has starred in such movie franchises as the Harry Potter series and the new Disney Beauty and the Beast. Stewart has spoken in the past about how it was difficult to attend Brown University in 2009 because of the fame she had to navigate. Stewart appeared in a photo shoot that featured in the most recent issue of Vanity Fair. She spoke about how the fame that resulted from playing Hermione Granger took a toll on her.

“I’d walk down the red carpet and go into the bathroom. I had on so much makeup and these big, fluffy, full-on dresses,” said Watson. “I’d put my hands on the sink and look at myself in the mirror and say, ‘Who is this?’ I didn’t connect with the person who was looking back at me, and that was a very unsettling feeling. I was finding this fame thing was getting to a point of no return.

“I sensed if this was something I was ever going to step away from it was now or never. It dawned on me that this is what you’re really signing up for. I’ve been doing this since I was 10 or 11, and I’ve often thought, ‘I’m so wrong for this job because I’m too serious; I’m a pain in the ass; I’m difficult; I don’t fit,'” she admits. “But as I’ve got older, I’ve realized, ‘No! Taking on those battles, the smaller ones and the bigger ones, is who I am.’”

Kimmel jokes about Oscars mix up

Jimmy Kimmel made light of the Oscars mix up on his late night show.

During the 89th Academy Awards, Warren Beatty mistakenly announced that La La Land had been awarded the prize for Best Picture. In reality, Moonlight was the actual picture that had been recognized as the best film of the year. Kimmel, who hosted the 2017 Academy Awards, joked about the gaffe during his late night show.

“Have any of you here ever hosted the Oscars before? Except for the end, it was a lot of fun,” joked Kimmel. “It went very well. We were chugging along, and then, all of a sudden out of nowhere, it turned into a Maury Povich paternity test shows. It was the weirdest TV finale since Lost. As I’m sure you’ve at least heard La La Land was simultaneously the biggest winner and loser last night. You know it’s a strange night when the word ‘envelope’ is trending on Twitter. In case you missed it, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway—it was the 50th anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde, and they played Bonnie and Clyde—so the Academy asked them to present Best Picture, the biggest award of the night. It’s the last one they give out. So, they come out—with the envelope—and here’s where the story starts. In retrospect, what Warren did was…He was confused, so he handed it to Faye and let her read the winner. In other words, Clyde threw Bonnie under the bus, which was a slick move.”

Patrick Stewart says goodbye to ‘X-Men’ franchise

The veteran Actor announced he would not be returning to the X-men franchise in an interview to promote his latest movie ‘Logan.

When making the announcement, he was flanked by co-star Hugh Jackman and director/co-author James Mangold.

“It’s only been a few days; I was watching the world premiere in Berlin exactly a week ago that… sitting beside Hugh watching him say goodbye I realized there would be no more perfect time to say au revoir, adios, goodbye to this franchise than this; I’m very content,” Stewart said during the interview.

Stewart added it was an epiphany for him, and at no one time did he give it a thought that it would be his last appearance. He noted Jean Grey had already vaporized his character. He said toward the end of the film; they were three or four in the room when mechanical monsters burst in and wanted to devour them. So instead of being eaten alive, he was vaporized, ending his character on the set.

Stewart wasn’t the only one to announce his departure from X-Men. Jackman also reconfirmed on the same show that “Logan” would be his last appearance as Wolverine.

Stewart had previously left his future as Professor Charles Xavier up in the air, throwing out tongue-in-cheek hints that he could reprise the role for Deadpool 2 or other future X-Men films.

This new announcement, though, ends any speculation that the 76 year- old Actor will take part in any future X-men movies.

Oscars 2017: Moonlight wins the best picture after announcement mix-up

Finally, Moonlight won the Best Picture Award at the Oscars after a statement mix-up had sawed La La Land initially declared the winner. PriceWaterHouseCooper which is the accountancy firm responsible for counting the ballots apologized for the mistake. When the error was discovered, the Producers of La La Land were in the middle of their acceptance speeches.

Despite the mistake, La La Land still owned the night by taking home six Oscars including a Best Actress Award that went to Emma Stone.

The surprise win of Best Picture by Moonlight made its Oscar haul for the night to three, after bagging the Screenplay Award and best Supporting Actor prize.

For Best Actor, Cassey Fleck took the award for Manchester by the Sea, while Viola Davis was named best Supporting Actress for Fences.

Damien Chazelle became the youngest filmmaker to win the Best Director Oscar.

The Oscars will be best remembered though for its closing moments when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway arrived to announce the best picture winner. Unknown to them, Beatty had been handed the previous winners envelope, and the card read Emma Stone had won best Actress for La La Land. It is from this card that Dunaway read from, mistakenly declaring La La Land to be the best picture and creating what Emma Stone would refer to as “the craziest Oscar moment of all time.”

In a statement, PriceWaterHouseCooper apologized for the blunder saying the presenters had been handed the wrong envelope.

“We are currently investigating how this could have happened, and deeply regret that this occurred.”

Matt Damon-Ben Affleck series ‘Incorporated’ canceled

Syfy won’t be ordering another season of thriller “Incorporated, ” Variety has confirmed. The news comes a little more than a month after “Incorporated” finished its first season on the NBCU cable network.

“Incorporated” came from executive producers Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Todd, with “The Good Wife” scribe Ted Humphrey as show runner, and was a hot commodity when brought to the marketplace. The show was created by David and Alex Pastor, who wrote and directed the pilot; Damon and Affleck’s Pearl Street Films produced along with CBS Television Studios and Syfy’s sister studio Universal Cable Productions.

Set in a future where corporations have unlimited power, “Incorporated” revolved around Ben Larson (Sean Teale, “Reign”). A young executive who concealed his true identity to infiltrate a very dangerous corporate world to save the woman he loves, and quickly found he wasn’t the only one in this world with a secret. Dennis Haysbert, who just booked a lead role in NBC’s pilot “Reverie,” also starred, along with Julia Ormond and Eddie Ramos.

The series debuted to mostly positive reviews. “‘Incorporated‘ is an energetic and watchable science-fiction thriller that posits that a climate apocalypse will be followed by a swift division of survivors into haves and have-nots — all by the year 2074,” Variety‘s Maureen Ryan wrote. “Right now, that date feels like a somewhat optimistic estimate.”

The show didn’t exactly pop in the ratings, averaging a Live+Same Day audience of just under 500,000 and a 0.16 in the 18-49 demographic, with delayed viewing not quite doubling those base numbers.

Bill Cosby jury will be sequestered

Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill will oversee a June 5 trial over charges that Cosby drugged and molested a former Temple University employee in 2004.

O’Neill’s ruling came after lawyers for the 79-year-old TV star argued that his trial should be moved to Philadelphia or the Pittsburgh area. The larger, more diverse population would make it easier to find unbiased jurors, lawyer Brian McMonagle argued, but even then, he said, there was no guarantee that Cosby could get a fair hearing.

“Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the message that has been promoted, in an insidious fashion, is that Bill Cosby is guilty and that Bill Cosby is a serial rapist,” McMonagle said. “I do not believe that there’s a place anywhere in this country now where he can receive a fair trial. Not here, not anywhere. I hope I’m wrong.”

Prosecutors accused the defense of trying to shop for a jury.

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to charges that he sexually assaulted Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home. The Associated Press doesn’t typically identify people who say they are victims of rape unless they have come forward publicly, as Constand has done.

Monday’s hearing came after the judge dealt a blow to the prosecution by limiting the number of accusers who can testify at the trial. Prosecutors wanted to put 13 more women on the stand to bolster charges that Cosby had drugged and molested women before the 2004 encounter with Constand.

O’Neill ruled Friday that only one of those accusers may testify. She worked for Cosby’s agent at the William Morris agency and said Cosby drugged and molested her during a lunch meeting in Los Angeles in 1996.
